About Creative Keys
Creative Keys was born from a deep love of music, but also from a personal understanding of what happens when creativity is pushed aside.
For many people, piano lessons become about following instructions, preparing for exams, playing the correct notes, and proving that you are “good enough”. There can be beauty in discipline and technique, but somewhere along the way, creativity can get lost.
Many adults come to music with a longing they have carried for years.
Maybe you always wanted to learn piano, but life got in the way.
Maybe you were told it was too late, too difficult, or not practical enough.
Maybe you had classical training, but never felt you were given the space to discover your own sound.
Maybe you were pushed away by rigid systems, grading, and pressure, even though music was still quietly calling.
Creative Keys was created as a response to that.
Based in London, England, Creative Keys offers intuitive piano lessons for adults who want to learn, return, explore, and create in a way that feels personal, expressive, and alive.
This is not currently a space for exam preparation. While technique, structure, and practice are all part of the process, the heart of this work is helping you build a relationship with music that belongs to you.
At Creative Keys, piano is not about proving yourself. It is about building confidence, developing musical skill, reconnecting with creativity, and finding your own way into the music.
Technique matters. Structure matters. Practice matters.
But creative expression belongs to you.
Meet the Founder: Gintarė
Gintarė is a deeply enthusiastic music lover, experienced piano teacher, and the founder of Creative Keys. She has been teaching piano in London for the last decade, sharing her passion with adult students at many different stages of their musical journey.
Raised in Lithuania by a music teacher and gifted pianist, Gintarė was surrounded by music from an early age. Her talent was recognized and she went on to receive a Certificate in Piano Performance with Distinction. When her family relocated to the UK, the musical path she might have followed became less certain.
Music became something she carried quietly. Like many creative people, she knew what it meant to love something deeply while wondering if it was practical, possible, or safe to fully follow.
Years later, when Gintarė returned to the piano, the experience was unexpectedly emotional. Her mind remembered the music, but her hands had to find their way back. What surfaced was more than technique. It was longing, release, joy, and a part of herself she had been missing.
Before then, piano had often lived inside structure, discipline, exams, and performance. Returning to it as an adult allowed music to become something different: not just something to master, but something that helped her express and come back to herself.
Over the years, Gintarė has prepared students for ABRSM Piano Performance and Theory exams, both face to face and online. She has also taught keyboards with Soundsteps Music School in London, supporting students through creative group methods and graded Trinity exams.
Today, she brings both worlds into her teaching: the technical depth of formal training and the emotional intelligence of lived experience. Her teaching philosophy centres on personalizing each lesson to the student’s goals, strengths, and challenges, while encouraging authenticity, confidence, and creative exploration.
